It was planed to build on the sandy delta of Wanchan River in special economic zone Hainan Island in China. It was built as the first golf course in the international congress development. They held Boao Forum every year so far gathering Asian major economic people.
The site was originally grass field buffaloes are grazing. Carefully layout with consideration of natural vegetations and terrain movements. Created deferent taste along with the river side and vegetation surrounded inland atmosphere. Other than greens, tees, fairways and bunkers are mostly left as the original terrain and grass or sandy soil.
As a result, we finish construction unbelievably low cost with appropriate quality specially compares to construction work in Japan. It was the bigging era of golf course development in China. None of the local staff has experience of golf course construction either playing golf. However, it was fun and my honor to instruct them and build it up as the first international standard golf course in Hainan where one of the golf destination so far.
